Tools required :

  • Ratchet / wrench (typically 11mm, 13mm, 15mm)
  • spray penetrant (WD-40 or other)

Steps :

  1. Spray all bolts and fittings with penetrant, let sit several minutes
  2. Remove brake line fitting bolt from caliper
  3. If you are not keeping the caliper bracket, remove the two bracket bolts
  4. Loosen and remove the caliper bolts (this may require a breaker bar for leverage)
  5. Pull the caliper away from the brake disc (you may need a pry bar if jammed)
  6. If you aren’t keeping the brake pads, you can leave them for the next customer!
